Cooled vs. Uncooled Infrared Comparison

Performance Differences

Cooled type covers short/medium/long-wave infrared, with microsecond-level response and high sensitivity; uncooled type only focuses on 8-14μm long waves, with weaker accuracy and response speed.

Suitable Scenarios

Suitable Scenarios: Cooled type is suitable for high-precision scenarios such as security reconnaissance and long-distance monitoring; uncooled type is mainly for low-cost civilian scenarios such as security and industrial inspection.

Cost and lifespan
